Last year, a blogger, Emmanuel Ojo, was arrested by men of the Ogun state Police command for allegedly defaming the Wife of the Ogun State Governor -Mrs Amosun. The blogger was said to have alleged that Mrs. Amosun was arrested by the London Police, for allegedly trying to traffic the sum of US300,000, an allegation, which the first lady has denied.

Today, Emmanuel Ojo who is currently in Lome, Togo -is celebrating his freedom.. Read his message below;

Around 3 PM last year, I was arrested by the Chief Security Officer – CSO to Ogun State Governor who was acting under the instruction of H.E Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Within four days, I spent one night at IBARA Police Station, two nights at Police Headquarters in Eleweran and one night at IBARA Prison. On the 2nd of November last year, I was also re arrest within the Court premises and they took me to Eleweran. I was allowed to go home around 5 PM same day. It was the toughest phase of my whole life.

Sincerely yours, it was a bitter sweet experience which has made me to be more discerning, careful, wiser, stronger and bolder. Lessons were learnt and more exposures were garnered along the way.

I sincerely express my gratitude and appreciation to the Almighty God; and also to everyone who stood solidly behind me and those who stood against me. Thanks for your support and efforts. I’m eternally grateful. You’re the reason why I’m still standing.

May we all have no reason to regret as we crave for a better society. Amen.
